Does tattoo lasering hurt?
During tattoo lasering, the laser gives multiple laser pulses on your tattoo and this causes the ink to be absorbed by the laser light, after which the ink disintegrates into small particles.
Your body then disposes of these as waste products. The laser does not really hurt, but is often described by our customers as 'a rubber band shooting against the skin'.
Should you still find it very unpleasant, it is possible to cool the skin with cold air during the laser treatment using our Zimmer cool cryogenic.
This device anaesthetises the skin slightly making the treatment 75% less sensitive.
After the treatment, it is advisable to smear the treated area twice a day with a restorative cream and to keep the skin well protected from the sun with an SPF. It is also best to avoid the sauna and the swimming pool in the first week after treatment. Once the skin has fully recovered, you can enjoy the sun and water again!

A picosecond is 100 times faster than a nanosecond and only 1 trillionth of a second. In tattoo removal, this ensures that the ink particles are made even smaller so that the body can eliminate them more easily and quickly.
